I’ve been invited to share the rich and layered history and legacy of graffiti art in this country with a cohort of students. We owe so much to the visual treasure that graffiti writers and documentarians have shared with us over many decades in the Bay Area. For this month’s Blog, I  honor the life and legacy of Mike DREAM (August 15, 1969- February 17, 2000) and Jim Prigoff (October 29, 1927 - April 21, 2021) by sharing an excerpt from my doctoral dissertation about the 23rd yards in Oakland.
